Day 1

In true fat kid nature, I am late posting this because I was distracted by the first episode of the new season of Top Chef. It's going to be a great season...anyways...

I stepped on the scale around 7AM...and was saddened by what it told me. The numbers read 1-4-7 and not in that order :(

So here it is:
Current weight: 174lbs
Goal weight: 124lbs
By when?: February 19, 2010

Before I get in to what I did and ate today, I would like to say that there was a woman on Dance Your Ass Off whose starting weight was 173lbs...this was only slightly depressing. Maybe I should have gone onto a reality weight loss show, but it's too late for that now...

So today I worked from 7:30AM-4:00PM
Then I came home and went on a little bike ride - 5.3 miles to be exact. It took about 30 minutes, because there were a lot of inclines (Syracuse is extremely hilly).

Basically, I sat on my ass for 8 1/2 hours and then tried to get in a little bit of exercise before I plopped down on the couch to watch tv!

Food Consumed Today:
Breakfast - 1 cup coffee with a little sugar and cream

Lunch - 1 small California roll, 1 piece of shrimp, crab, tuna, and salmon nigiri
(this might sound like a lot, but sushi is healthy, right?)

Snack: 1 apple after work (Pink ladies are awesome...thanks Jen!)

Dinner: A yummy salad with a fresh Asian/peach vinaigrette and some seared Ahi tuna slices

Glasses of water: probably 6-7...I will need to improve this.

All in all, not too shabby. I don't think I'll be eating fish for awhile though...

It's going to be a looooong six months!

  4. Don't be fooled by this little one, guys! I went along on that bike-ride and Dolly is not out of shape at all- she kicked my butt! I think she's stuffing with socks all over! :)

    Anyways, I am totally proud of you and sad that I don't get to stay to keep an eye on you and celebrate you when you reach your goal before the deadline. Just remember, small portions, and nothing that comes out of those evil machines at work!

    Incidentally, when does UPS come?
